An intruder drill was arranged at the GIIS Tokyo Nishi Kasai Campus, with the help of the local police department on March 3rd, 2023, which taught the staff and students to handle crucial situations better.

Student and Staff safety is always a top priority at GIIS Tokyo, and the school ensures that various safety drills are conducted throughout the remainder of the school year, and each subsequent year, so that students and staff know how to react in case of an emergency. 

At GIIS, the staff organizes and follows multiple types of drills throughout the year including fire, earthquake, and Parent engagement.

The students are always taught how to protect themselves, and that they should never forget the word A-L-I-C-E, also known as, Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate.

Additionally, we have developed plans to become better prepared to respond to various other emergencies. These plans will help establish, communicate, and practise techniques that are effective at managing difficult situations.
