In order to promote the sustainable development goal of “Responsible consumption and Production”, the creative students of GIIS Tokyo, Higashi Kasai Campus from Grades 6-9 were guided to create stunning and innovative art by using old, recyclable materials.
They enthusiastically took part in the initiative and came up with wonderful artwork, that was assessed based on their creativity and presentation skills.
Chrysanthemum House secured First place, followed by Hibiscus and Sunflower houses which tied for second place, and Orchid house took Third place.
The main objective of “Responsible consumption and Production” is to reduce the number of materials we buy and use, reuse items, and recycle products and packaging, these are all actions that significantly reduce our environmental impacts and help us achieve a “circular economy”.
