GIIS Tokyo Kindergarten students celebrate Children's Day

The students of the GIIS Tokyo Seishincho campus celebrated Children’s Day in a joyous manner.

The special day is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, born on November 14, 1889, he was also known as Pandit Nehru. This memorable date marks Nehru’s devotion to the welfare, education and development of children and young people.

To make this event unforgettable for our little ones, the Kindergarten campus celebrated Children’s Day on 14 November 2022 on the school premises. The day focused on children and their enjoyment. The event was commemorated with immense enthusiasm and splendour.

The students of Nursery, K1 and K2 dressed in their favourite outfits and brought their own lunch. The celebrations began with a Morning Prayer, followed by a variety of fun-filled activities and games that were planned by the teachers.

The day concluded with students enjoying lunch outside the school, under the blue sky, while the teachers played various games. Finally, the students were given chocolates as a token of love from the school.
