Virtual Annual Day of GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar concludes; completes three glorious years

Marking the completion of three glorious years, GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar specially celebrated the occasion through the Virtual Day celebration which took place on 28th & 29th January 2022.

The annual day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.

It boosts confidence in the children and helps them to get rid of stage fright and also teaches them the importance of teamwork. It is a great way to acknowledge and empower the culture of our nation. It allows the children to showcase their hidden potential and also gives children a chance to informally communicate and bond with their teachers.

The Virtual Annual Day of GMP Segment was woven around the theme ‘My India My Pride’ which included a ramp walk, song, music and dance performances by the talented kindergarteners.

The event was unveiled with the virtual lighting of the lamp followed by mesmerizing Bharatanatyam performance by the senior students. Mrs Vaishali Borde, Mentor GMP and Co-Scholastic Head and Honorable Principal Dr D. Lakshmi Prasanna addressed the parents and the students with their inspirational words.

The students were also awarded certificates for their achievements in various activities conducted throughout the year.

The Annual Day of Lower Primary was woven around the themes of ‘Joy of Dancing’ (Grade 1) and ‘Disney’ (Grade2). The celebration started with seeking the blessings of the almighty, followed by an incredible Bharatanatyam performance which left everyone spellbound. Then came the principal’s address where she inspired all the budding talents and congratulated all the winners of curricular & extra-curricular activities before closing her address. The young talents of lower primary were seen delivering scintillating performances one after the other.

The Annual Day of Upper Primary surrounded the theme of ‘Celebration of Indian Cinema (Grades 3-5). The students depicted various periods of Indian Cinema ranging from Dada Sahab Phalke to the greatest showman Raj Kapoor to superstar Rajesh Khanna to the shahanshah Amitabh Bachchan and Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. The boys were seen enacting varied colours of different actors from all the times while the girls were seen displaying different shades of Madhubala, Vaijantimala, Sreedevi, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla. Overall, it was a stupendous show put up by the teachers and the students.

The Annual Day of Middle School (Grades 6-9). was intertwined around the theme of ‘Culture – Maharashtra’. The creative heads of middle school exclusively depicted the Maharashtrian Culture by portraying various aspects of the culture by way of a well-enacted skit, roleplay of Shivaji Maharaj & his courtiers, Afzal Khan and many more mind-blowing performances. It was an ineradicable sight to witness the young talents at their best. The celebration was indeed a platform to identify the varied aptitudes of young learners. To culminate the event, a melodious mashup by the school band was presented followed by an amazing dance performance by our over-enthusiastic facilitators of GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar.

With such entrancing & outstanding presentations, the Virtual Annual Day had indeed made its mark in the history of GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar.
