THINKING THURSDAY activities made December an exciting month for GIIS Hadapsar

The ability to learn new concepts and the curiosity to bring it to life is what makes all the difference in life. The theory is only theory until applied. And in applied theory, there are no assumptions and conditions. By applying what we study, we comprehend that there is more than one way of doing something.

Young minds are sharp and strong; they grasp quickly and the curiosity to know how makes everything better. Thinking Thursdays is one way we use at GIIS to inculcate experiments and their astonishing results into young minds. One must always ask questions to step forward, and we strive to do that perfectly on monthly Thinking Thursdays.

This month, GIIS Hadapsar GMP students learned about how static electricity works. How does the imbalance between negative and positive charges of the different objects put Science into perspective? The experiment was done using a balloon, a plastic scale, a woolen sweater, and paper cutouts. Students were elated to see the results!

Grade I and II learned about the respiratory system. How do the lungs work and how do they help us to live and breathe fully? Students were told to bring colored straws and to blow the tiny cotton balls in a set pathway using straws. Through the activity, they learned the importance of internal organs.

Such activities result in exceptional learning outcomes and create a conducive learning environment for students.
