Students Celebrated Mother’S Day Before Leaving For Their Summer Break

Students celebrated Mother’s day before leaving for their summer break

Gaspard Mermillod once rightly quoted, &quot;A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.&quot;

Mother&#39;s Day is a special day for all mothers as well as children as it celebrates the bond of love and affection shared between a child and a mom. They are also the backbone of the family and have that magic or Midas touch to heal every wound and make life beautiful. To celebrate this Day, the little munchkins of GIIS Hadapsar actively participated in several activities along with their mothers on the last day of school before going on a Summer Break on 7th May 2021.

Teachers invited all the mothers to participate in fun-filled activities which included a Ramp walk along with their child with some signature steps, Chef of the day was Dad, and the child who made yummilicious snacks for the mom. A day prior there was a hands-on activity of sash making with &quot;World&#39;s Best Mom&quot; written on it and was awarded to the moms by their lovely children. Games, Music, and Dance were also a part of the event.

Students of other grades also participated with full enthusiasm.

Grade I and II made cards by their handprint for their mother. They also danced, enjoyed doing mimicry, and wrote letters to their mother for the special occasion. Whereas Grade III and IV made heart-shaped flower cards for their mother to present her on mother&rsquo;s day. Grade V made the best badges to give to their mother; they even enjoyed doing cooking without fire and danced along with their mother. Ahead of this, grade VI performed a talent show during which some students sang their favourite numbers, prepared cake &amp; made digital cards for their mother. Students of Grade VII enjoyed playing a quiz &amp; made a digital card for their mother. Grade VIII and IX enjoyed playing games, dumb charades, rapid-fire games, antakshari, and even played games of the atlas.

All the children participated with full zeal and showed their eagerness while they were performing various activities, even though it was on a virtual platform.

It was indeed a memorable day for all moms as they got the opportunity to participate with their children. Later, the day concluded with everyone enjoying and taking back lovely memories of the day and students bid goodbye to their friends and teachers wishing each other happy and safe holidays.
