GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar celebrated Martyr’s Day on January 30th to commemorate the recognition and sacrifices of revered freedom fightersleaders  who made India reach where it is today and sacrificed their lives for the love of the nation. 

January 30th is also the death anniversary of one such leader, Mahatma Gandhi. To pay tribute to our great leaders, students presented a monologue on the valor of the freedom fighters marking the Indian freedom struggle movement at the morning special assembly conducted by Sunflower house of the school. Several fighters and leaders were remembered for their great contribution to the liberation of the nation, like Rani Laxmi Bai, Subhash C. Bose, Bhagat Singh, and Rani Padmavati, who had spread the message of selfless love and humanity which in turn is the guiding light for future generations. 

A special prayer was sung by the students, praying to the almighty for spreading world peace, brotherhood and love among the nations. In the end, A two-minute silence was also observed in the school. Children paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by taking a pledge to follow his path of truth and non-violence.
