Striding towards discoveries, new adventures and basking in the glory of festivities in November!
Warm Greetings!
November encompassed merriment, serenity and oneness amongst all. The month commenced with a series of engaging activities to immerse in the spirit of Diwali - The Festival of Lights!
Special assemblies showcased the significance of the Diwali festival and created awareness of lighting up the lives of those in need and not just as a decor of our surroundings. Activities such as Thali Rangoli, Diya decoration, etc. enthused the students to exhibit their creativity and talents.
A scintillating assembly dedicated to our students was presented by the teachers on the occasion of Children’s Day celebrating their innocence , mischievousness and admiration, which was rejoiced by all, reminiscing their golden era of childhood.
A special Marathi assembly was conducted by the Orchid House spreading awareness about Maharashtra State Students’ Day which is celebrated every year on 7th November and Constitution Day of India.
Excursions further added excitement and enlightenment amongst the students as they awakened new avenues of knowledge through adventures. Students of grades 1 to 4 visited the Anthurium Resort, Grades 5 to 7 visited the Suresh Naik Space Park and Homi Bhabha Space Research Centre. Grades 8 to 10 visited the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park which ignited their minds to discover and invent something exceptional in the near future.
The Students’ Council members paid a visit to an old age home to create an environment of cheer and sprinkled kindness and love among the elderly.
Along with academics, sports too, play a pivotal role in the holistic development of students. Our students participated in the Dhruv Global Fest and bagged the 2nd position in the Under-14 Basketball (boys & girls) category. Adding further, our students secured the 3rd position in the Under-14 Football Cup. We are proud to witness such a victorious feat and looking forward to achieving many such exceptional accolades.
The highlight of this month was the Cambridge English Teacher’s Training Programme which equipped the English language teachers of GIIS Hadapsar with unique techniques and methodologies to facilitate our students to emerge as confident and language proficient individuals for a successful future. To enable our students to take the most advantage of such an exemplary programme, a Parent Orientation was held.
The Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) competition typically focuses on quality improvement and innovation. The conference this year, being the first offline one after the pandemic, was held in Kathmandu, Nepal. This year’s theme was Quality for the Creation of a More Sustainable, Competitive and Human World. Our GIIS Hadapsar team, the Mindful Tech Guardians, chose IAD and Nomophobia as pressing issues to address. We feel absolutely elated about the fact that our school has won four awards on International Best Class, International Best Practice, International Best Innovation Second Category and we were awarded three stars for our overall performance.
