Students of the Primary and Secondary segments of GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar came together to celebrate Happiness Week from 25th July to 28th July. Various activities were planned for the Primary and Secondary segments on the occasion.
Students of the Primary segment took part in activities which included Happiness Song, Happiness Smiley, Word Scramble, Making a Happy Facial Tattoo, Smiley Badge, Laughter Yoga, Jokes / Riddles / Fun Facts, Drawing and Colouring Funny Cartoon Faces etc.
Meanwhile, students of the Secondary segment took part in activities which included Special Assembly, Card Making, Distribution of Biscuits, Wafers and Sweets to the less fortunate kids near school, Essay on any charitable deed, Make a Happiness Collage and so on.
On Monday, 25th July, students took part in the ‘Heart on my Hand’ activity wherein they traced their palms on a paper and listed 5 of their best characteristics as an opportunity to visually express and celebrate themselves.
On Tuesday, July 26, students took part in the activity called' Who am I?' in which they reflected on this question through discussion, writing and art. Students brainstormed and recorded how they saw themselves, responding to various reflective questions. Students then took the information they learned about themselves and created a collage that illustrated who they are.
On Wednesday, July 27, students took part in the Feelings and Situations activity wherein they listed a range of positive and negative feelings which can be experienced at home, in the classroom and the school playground. They organised their responses into two columns, Situation and Feelings.
On the last day Thursday, 28th July witnessed a class discussion and post in which students responded to a few questions.
Overall, the Happiness Week was a successful one as it witnessed over 826 students participating in various activities.
