The staff members of GIIS Smart Campus Hadapsar were high on enthusiasm and winning spirit as the GS20 Sports Event was held at the campus on November 22.

GSF has entered its 20th year of providing Global excellence to students across the globe. Year-long celebrations and activities have been planned across all the GIIS Campuses to commemorate this achievement.

The event witnessed participation from staff members from all the departments. The programme started with the Principal's address to all the teams.

The first event was an individual event which was called Throw, Clap & Catch. The participants had to pick the tennis ball and throw it above their head, clap their hands whilst the ball is in the air, then stop clapping when they see the ball is close to their hands and catch the ball at the appropriate time. If the ball was dropped, then the point did not count.

Judges counted how many times the participant clapped in one minute. The more claps, the more the participants scored.

Sunita Kadam emerged victorious clinching the first rank followed by Sourabh Kanhekar and Lekha Chaudhari who were in joint-second position. Meanwhile, Shalini Kanike stood in the third position.

The second event of the day was a team event which was the 4 X 50m relay race. There were six teams with four players each.

Standing on the top spot was Team D which consisted of Pratik Jadhav, Kavya Atra, Bhavana Saxena, and Mahafrin Katila.

Team C finished in second place. Its team members were Sunita Kadam,  Kulvinder Kaur Sidhu, Sonal Shrivastava, and Sourabh Kanhekar.

Team A had to be content in the third place. Priya Baber, Yashika Harchandani, Rajesh Wadhwani, and Shilpa Changale were the members of the team.
