The Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Hadapsar organised a Monsoon Party for the students of Pre-Primary grades. This fun-filled party brought joy back in this dreary weather.

Rainy Day is always a fun time for the kids if it is celebrated in the school. Moreover, it makes the school environment light and mesmerizing for these tiny tots.  The Kindergarteners celebrated this special occasion on the last day of closing month i.e. 31st July 2021.

To celebrate the first showers of Monsoon, the pre-primary students came all armed in their raincoats & umbrellas to splash & revel in the rain. All the children were dressed in different shades of blue. It was truly mesmerizing to witness students in such a way.

To give a real feel, the students were brought out in the open by their parents with umbrellas and raincoats to enjoy the playful rainy weather.  Artificial rain was created and it was fun getting wet and singing songs. Some of them also dressed up in their swimsuits, danced and played their favourite games in the party.

During the dedicated online session, the teachers also sensitized them and made them aware of the things that are mostly available or seen most in the monsoon such as corn, frog, etc. It was a perfect day to celebrate and enjoy the taste of seasonal fruits as well. They relished the delectable mangoes. The concept of the water cycle was also introduced to them. Everyone immensely enjoyed the day while learning the concept of the summer/monsoon season and the water cycle.

The kids really had a festive time with their friends and parents. The parents also shared their experiences and appreciated the efforts of teachers in successfully being able to organise such activities virtually.
