Book Week conducted at GIIS Hadapsar to celebrate World Book Day

Books are an integral part of our lives, and they play a vital role in shaping our personalities. They are a gateway to the world of knowledge, imagination, and creativity. Books can transport us to different times, places, and situations. They can entertain, educate, and inspire us.

Keeping this in mind, GIIS Hadapsar organized a book week for the school students. The week had a book fair festival in collaboration with Crossword. Students were thorough with the experience and were engrossed in looking out for their best read. In the process of finding their favorite, they came across numerous books of varied genres which encouraged children to read and research more about them through their own resources.

Rhidhhaan Jain was invited as a guest speaker, is a young and accomplished author who started writing books from an early age. He wrote one of his most popular books ‘Once Upon my Mind’ when he was just 8 years old. He spoke about his writing experience as a young, budding author, and how it has shaped his personality at such a young age.

Ridhaan is the founder of RidhzWorld Publishing and conducted a story-writing competition in 2022. It was a moment of sheer pride for GIIS Hadapsar as Abha Guli, a student of IV-A, has her story featured in the book Once Upon in Our Minds.

The secondary segment had a rendezvous with Ms. Rashmi Jain, author, and founder of Soch and Saaj. Her works include ‘Be Wild’ and ‘'Alfaz, a collection of poetry’. It was an interactive session with her where she inspired young minds to keep an open heart on the journey called life and jot down their feelings. The students were curious to know about the writing and publishing process. She made it effortless for them by sharing her wisdom with them.

The session with both the inspiring authors and the Book Week ended with an interactive q&a session with them. They cleared students' doubts and encouraged them to introduce the art forms of reading and writing into their lives for it would only make them wiser and open the doors to a bright future.
