Dear Parents,

Warm Greetings.

Teamwork is the hallmark of GIIS Hadapsar. I appreciate the efforts put in by our wonderful team of students & staff for making August a truly successful month of the year. In this pursuit of excellence, I appreciate our parent fraternity for supporting the school in every aspect.

The month of August creates fervour of patriotism among the students and awakens the spirit of responsibility towards their nation. Given the above, various activities were conducted wherein students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and kept the flame of patriotism burning bright with pride. Students of grades 1 & 2 participated in the ‘Leader’s Walk’ while grades 3 to 8 had ‘Har Ghar Tiranga – Flag making activity’ which was exceptionally executed.

Peace Day was observed using the Dove – The Symbol of Peace, as students made origami doves. Students were also briefed about the importance of International Peace Day. The most awaited event was the formation of the Students Council – The Leaders of our School, where the members of the Students Council from grades 5 to 10 were invested through a grand Investiture Ceremony.  Students of grades 5 to 10 all geared up to celebrate the 76th Independence Day and mesmerized the audiences through a crisp March past, a scintillating and melodious choir of patriotic songs, cultural dances and a powerful rendition of music by our budding musicians.

I-Care activities were conducted in Grades 1 and 2 where the students learned to protect and nurture their pets. Math Magic activities were organised where students learned to make joker faces using shapes and Thinking Thursday activities were conducted that helped them establish a strong foundation of process skills which ultimately lead to proficient reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

This month enhanced and showcased the talents of our students through their hard work and dedication which wouldn’t be possible without the relentless support and guidance of the teachers.

In an International chess competition, the GIIS Hadapsar team bagged 7 positions. Congratulations to all the winners. I hope and pray students of our school will scale great heights and keep the GIIS flag flying high wherever they tread.

September is going to be more of Academics & exams time.. I wish all the very best to all GIISians.

As the Principal of the school, I feel honoured and privileged to be part of an educational institution where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. We look at ourselves as a community of learners, where everyone learns including our teachers, parents & staff.
