The Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Balewadi celebrated GMP Annual Day and Graduation Day for pre-primary with great enthusiasm on 27th March 21. The Annual Day was designed on the backdrop of learning from the pandemic and the way GIIS successfully shifted towards the virtual learning process. The grand occasion became even grander with the presence of eminent dignitaries such as the National Co-scholastic & GMP Head, Ms. Vaishali Borde.

The wonderful event commenced with a special motivational speech by Dr. N.K.P Ashok Raj, a person with an enlightened vision towards education and humanity who inspired us all with his speech. The students took the spectators on an exciting journey with full of fun, action, loads of entertainment, songs, and dances.

The event started with a welcome dance by the K1 & K2B students and children demonstrated these Montessori activities with the explanation of the learning objectives and aim. The event culminated with K2A and K2B students explaining on the topics from their cultural studies, which they have been taught over the year. 

The Shows organized in all their magnificence and driving into a celebration of life itself enthralled and captivated the audience throughout. The pre-primary kids of GIIS Balewadi performed on a plethora of activities and enamoured the audience with their outstanding performance. The shows were presented in the form of dance, songs, videos, and storytelling, narrating different emotions, learning throughout the period of the pandemic, and what they learned through finally culminating in sparkling shades of happiness and hope.

The highlight of the shows were the breakout sessions for family time, wherein the students enjoyed participating in live events like Collaborative dance, Minute Games, skit, and those special dance performances by the parents. This was followed by the felicitation of the outstanding achievements of students in academics. Students of GMP thoroughly enjoyed the virtual Annual Day and Graduation Ceremony. All the students of K2 participated in the event along with their teachers and parents.

The students enthralled the audience with their performance and oratory skills. At last, the show ended with a Vote of Thanks by the Pre Primary teachers with a surprising dance which they termed as ‘Lazy Dance’. The laudable and amazing performances provided an insight into the cultural diversity of people inhabiting different parts of the world. The event came to an end with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the pre-primary teacher, Ms. Priya Johri.
