The little munchkins of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Balewadi celebrated Father’s Day on 18th June 21 to rejoice in the special bond with their Father.

Every year father’s day is celebrated across the globe on the third Sunday in the month of June. Owing to the pandemic the celebrations were minimal but this year too students got the chance to celebrate Father’s Day virtually along with their classmates and teachers. It was indeed a memorable moment for both the children as well as parents which they are going to cherish lifelong.

Father’s Day celebrations are also extended to those bonds which are equivalent to parental bonds. The day was therefore dedicated to honouring and celebrating not only the father but also the father figure(s) who shape our minds, thoughts and are instrumental in giving wings to all our wishes and desires.

Students dedicated this day to their father’s efforts and sacrifices they do selflessly for us. The little ones also created hand-made cards in the shape of a tie for their father and wrote all the good wishes for them.

 Meanwhile, the teachers also explained to them the history and importance of the day, and the story behind the celebration was also explained to them during the special virtual class.

 At last, the students sang songs in front of them as a symbol of love and gratitude. The parents really appreciated the teachers' effort in giving them these special memories through this celebration and activities.
