The Investiture Ceremony of GIIS, Balewadi for the session 2022-23 was held on December 23, 2022. It’s a platform the school provides to its worthy students and entrusts them for holding up on the responsibilities of running a student council ahead. It signifies the reliance and confidence the school resides on students. 

The ceremony was conducted with great pride and dignity in the school campus. It was hosted by teachers and students. Students of class IX sang a welcome song and followed by the address of our honorable principal sir, Dr. NKP Ashok Raj. A sense of pride and achievement lingered in the air. The audience was introduced to the council as they marched into the ground in perfect sync, led by Head boy and Head Girl. Gradually, the elected members' profiles were read out loud to the audience and students were embedded with badges and the flags- Aarushi Negi, Head Girl(XII), Zaemuddin as HeadBoy (XI),  Nikita A as Assistant Head Girl(IX), Bharat Shrikant as Assistant Head Boy (XI), Advika Kamad and Atharva Karbhari as Sports Captain (XI and XII), Pritika Srivastava, Vedant Sinha as Cultural Captains (IX), Vedanshi and Rushil Dwivedi as Chrysanthemum House Captain and Vice Captain, Kaustubha Pharande and Diya Sharma as Hibiscus House captain and Vice Captain,Manas Ghadge and Arsh Shukla as Orchid House Captain and Vice Captain, lastly, Tvisha Sharma and Tanishka Ghorpade as Sunflower House Captain and Vice Captain.

The loudest cheers in the hall were of proud parents witnessing a moment as such in their wards’ lives. The reverberations and roar of the applauds wouldn’t be easily forgotten. Students pledged to hold GIIS’ vision and values upright, stand their truth and bestow their duties in righteousness . The ceremony was filled with zest and earnestness for our future leaders. GIIS Balewadi congratulates the students’ cabinet to uphold the positions and stay true to themselves amidst walking up the school onwards and upwards hereon.
