As the proverb says, Go wide to go deep, which means moving widely can help us stretch out our horizons to learn and grow better and learning a second language is similar to this. For children, learning a second language boosts brain power, improves memory, they communicate better, it enhances ability to multi-task and decision making, etc.

GIIS SMART CAMPUS BALEWADI offers French, which is an official language in 39 countries around the world, as a second language along with Marathi and Hindi. In the curriculum, the basics are taught in interactive and creative ways. There are various different activities to cumulate the complete course and help them learn a foreign language fluently. There is ASL, Activity for Speaking and Listening, where students are given a small close ended questionnaire which they need to answer on listening to the audio clip. Audio could be anything, like a conversation, a song, a script, etc. Other activities for their better learning are Multiple assessment, Creative Writing, Periodic tests, etc. Alongside all these, by the end of the year, students prepare their portfolios that consist of everything they have learned and performed so far. 

We, as an organization, promote learning beyond education in collaborative efforts of our teachers and parents’ partnership. We thank our parents for their unconditional support and trust in us. Kudos to them for supporting  their wards and encouraging them to learn new things and likewise to the students who step forward for the unconventional- beyond the set curriculum.
