Dhruv Narsingani of GIIS Balewadi Secures 1st Position in Inter-School Singing Competition

&ldquo;Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it; whole flows from heaven to the soul.&rdquo;

The Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Balewadi&nbsp;takes immense pride to share that our student, Dhruv Narsingani from Grade 5B secured the first position in Inter-School Solo Singing Competition which was virtually held on 3rd&nbsp;July, 21. The competition was organised by (Swar Shankar) Indira National School. The competition witnessed the presence of 99 participants having representations from about 22 schools. The key objective behind organising this event was to give a platform to the budding talent and promote music.

The competition commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp and the chief guests were addressed with the welcoming speech. While motivating the participants the honourable Chairperson, IGI Dr. Tarita Shankar spoke about how Music holds a significant place in her life. She also applauded the efforts taken by the students and management members.

The participants were categorized in Group A, B and C who performed their individual rendition of the songs, out of which, 5 finalists in each group were selected for the Grand Finale. Despite very fierce competition, Dhruv performed outstandingly well throughout and achieved this feat.

Later, the final results were declared by the chief guests and the organizer of this event. The top 3 winners were felicitated with a trophy and an appreciation letter. The programme concluded with the National Anthem. The budding singers put up an amazing show with their melodious voices and mesmerized the audience.

Dr. N.K.P Ashok Raj, Principal GIIS Balewadi congratulated Dhruv for his big win and while expressing his happiness said, &ldquo;Keep making us proud with your extraordinary singing talent, Dhruv. GIIS is proud to have you as a student. We wish you the best of luck for your future endeavours.&rdquo;

The GIIS staff members also congratulated Dhruv for his outstanding performance and wished him a bright future ahead.&nbsp;&nbsp;
