CBSE 12 students of the SMART Campus scored tremendous success in the Grade 12 results, according to the 2020 results that were announced on July 13. The school average went up to 88.2% from 87.4% in 2019. 

The science stream was topped by Aishwarya Jayaraman and Sruti Srinivasan both of whom scored 98% marks, while the Commerce stream was topped by Akshata Modak with 92.6% marks.

More than 60% of the cohort scored above 90%, while 38.6% of students scored above 95% which is a jump of more than double from last year’s score. 

Some of the major highlights of this year’s result are: 

- 62.9 % students scored above 90% compared to 55.4 % in 2019

- 38.6 % students scored above 95% compared to 16.2 % in 2019

- Two students, Rujuta Athalye and Shishir Umashankar scored 100% in Mathematics

- Aishwarya Radhakrishnan Nair scored 100% in Chemistry

- Science Stream Average stood at 90.1%

- Commerce Stream Average stood at 77.9%

Happy with the great achievements by students, Ms Melissa Maria, Principal GIIS SMART Campus said, ”The academic year has been tough for our students with the turbulence caused by the pandemic. Nevertheless, our students left no stones unturned to give their best and have proved themselves in the board exams.”
