GIIS SMART Campus organised the Battle of the Brains competition on Jan 16 and Jan 17 which allowed the primary students an opportunity to showcase their mathematical prowess. The students enthusiastically competed against each other participating in various rounds including; Visual Intelligence, Number Worms, Geoboard Mania, Tangramuzzle, Matchstick Mania, and Math Relay. 

The competition was divided into two segments; one for students in Grade 1 and 2 and the other for students in Grade 3 to 5. Students were divided into 6 teams namely; Cube, Cuboid, Sphere, Cylinder, Cone, and Pyramid. 

The event came to an end with the winners in each category being announced. Every participant received e-certificates and the winners were awarded trophies and certificates both.

Grades 1 and 2

Gold: Team Sphere- Nisha Kulkarni and Wu Yuheng

Team Pyramid- Sudith Muruganantham and Neethika Venkatesh

Silver: Team Cone- Mihika Bastav and Rafael Kumar 

Bronze: Team Cylinder- Tisya Aggarwal and Amya Malhotra

Team Cube- Jaffy S Thambi and Haley Fernandes 

Team Cuboid- Shivansh Bhatt and Divyam Mohapatra 

Grades 3 to 5

Gold: Team Cone- Ayansh Gupta, Aarush Singh, and Yahvi Monga 

Silver: Team Cube- Michelle Jacob, Ian Krish Fernandes, and Rihito Yonezawa

Bronze: Team Cuboid- Sarah Baig, Akshat Modani, and Anush Vaid

GIIS has always emphasised the importance of students’ holistic development by providing various platforms for students to explore their interests and skills. Competitions such as Battle of the Brains are not only educational but also offer a fun and interactive experience that takes their learning to the next level.
