GIIS SMART Campus organised the XI Annual interschool HiQ Science and Mathematics Quiz Competitions in February 2019, and students engaged in a riveting competition displaying breadth and depth of knowledge in a variety of topics.

The interschool competition saw participation from NPS International School, Yuvabharathi International School and the host school GIIS SMART Campus. The participating students were from Grades 7 to 9.

GIIS SMART Campus team won the prestigious Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Rolling Trophy in the Science category with Yuvabharathi International School as the runner-up. The winner of Aryabhatta Rolling Trophy in Mathematics category was the team from NPS International followed by GIIS team as the first runner-up.

The one hour contest had four rounds each of Maths and Science quiz. The excitement of the audience was revved up a notch higher every time a question was posed to the competing teams. 

The HiQ quiz was preceded by the XI Annual HiQ Science and Mathematics Exhibition which was held on 12th of February at GIIS SMART Campus. A number of models were displayed in the exhibition that displayed a range of ideas providing scientific solutions to various challenges faced in life. Students of Grades 7 to 9 came up with creative models on water harvesting, green building with solar panels, hydroponics, light painting with a smartphone and many other projects.   

The HiQ quiz and exhibition provided a great platform to the whiz kids to show their competency and creativity.
