Dear Parents,

We are into the 8th month of the year 2022 and the year so far has been extraordinary. We are moving away from the threat of Covid and embracing new changes. Our students make us proud every day through their achievements, enthusiasm, and their wholehearted participation in all curricular and extracurricular activities. Our teachers put in a lot of energy to create the school a happy place for our students. 

The month of August marked Singapore National Day and Indian Independence Day. The students celebrated the days with a lot of excitement where they participated in activities such as flag making, decorating their classrooms and learning commons, singing songs, and dancing. 

As a part of the Youth Leadership lecture series, PYP Grade 5 hosted author Malcolm Mejin from Malaysia who graced the occasion and had a chat with the students about his writing journey and his books. The students displayed their talent by creating their own questions and planning the whole session. 

The dancing competition of the year ‘Jhankaar’ was celebrated with a lot of fanfare. A total of 8 schools participated in the event and more than 240 dance programmes made it an exhilarating event. The participation of students of The GUILD International College which is an inclusive school for special-needs and mainstream students requiring additional support gave a wholesome dance performance. 

Preparations are now underway for CBSE half-yearly exams and the teachers and students are busy preparing question papers and studying for exams respectively.
