Social Innovations Park (SIP), a non-profit organisation that seeks to bring positive innovations to lives and societies, conducted a three-day Mindful hackathon workshop with Grade 10 students, to help them implement the Sex Education platform.
The Sex Education platform was the winning idea for another event held in January 2020. The winning team comprising - Ankita Sridhar, Saransh Srivastava, Soma Annnamalai, Abhitha Aiyer, Om Koli, Adeep Dev Srivastava had a follow-up group mentoring sessions conducted virtually by SIP on 25th, 26th and 27th of July.
Each of the three-hour-long online sessions administered by a Mindful Hackathon facilitator taught the students pivotal and important methods to actualize the idea into reality. From validating the functionality of the plan to learning how to prototype the scheme, the students were trained in various aspects of launching the platform successfully.
The students gained an empowering experience of entrepreneurship, creativity and teamwork. The participation in the Mindful Hackathon has ensured a deeper sense of entrepreneurship and the possible challenges of business collaboration,
The winning team is looking forward to introducing and actualizing their ideated platform for the benefit of GIIS students.
