SMART Campus student wins gold at ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2023 

In an outstanding achievement, Uzair Malik, a Grade 10 IGCSE at GIIS SMART Campus, secured the prestigious Gold Award at the ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2023. Representing Singapore on a global platform, Uzair outperformed 95 of the nation's brightest young minds, earning this remarkable distinction.


The ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2023 Grand Finals, a competition that spotlights the exceptional talents of secondary and tertiary students in applying digital skills to the modern digital economy, drew participants from 13 countries across Asia. These nations included Bhutan, Brunei, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.


Uzair's remarkable performance stood out, as he not only represented Singapore but also achieved a perfect score of 100%, ultimately emerging as the Gold Award Winner for the Secondary Level Business Track. His achievement reflects his outstanding capabilities and dedication to excelling in diverse fields.


Uzair Malik's list of accolades is nothing short of impressive. In the literary domain, he secured the silver medal at the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition recently, showcasing his exceptional writing skills. Furthermore, he has made remarkable contributions to the community, earning the National Youth Achievement Bronze Award for Community Services. 


This accomplishment reflects Uzair's dedication and hard work, and it also exemplifies the commitment to excellence at GIIS SMART Campus. It serves as a testament to the exceptional talent nurtured within the school's vibrant academic community.
