GIIS SMART Campus IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) teachers and facilitators conducted a fishbowl activity on March 24, 2022, to share perspectives, discuss and strategise ideas related to IBPYP. The activity was conducted by Ms. Manju Nair, GIIS SMART CAMPUS PYP coordinator. During the event, the participants discussed how enquiry-based learning helps in fostering internationally-minded students and helps them excel holistically with 21st-century skills. 

The participants discussed the ways of developing various traits and attributes of the IB learner profile beyond academics. They share ideas and perspectives on the standards and requirements of the IBPYP programme and the importance of helping young students develop positive learning dispositions. 

Quality of teachers plays an important role in effectively delivering a programme like the IB PYP that requires educators to create versatile learning experiences for students. Teachers are facilitators of the PYP and play an important role in adopting best practices so that students master key concepts most engagingly and inculcate the IB learner profile values. Overall, it was an enriching activity for the participants and will help shape our educators to excel.
