Virtual Connect Series, an exchange programme for Kindergarten students of GIIS has been started for the young students to interact with their peers in other GIIS campuses. The first activity in the series was conducted on 28th October between East Coast and SMART Campus kindergarten students.

Four students from K2 connected virtually with their counterparts at the East Coast Campus and had a quiz session where students took a turn to be the quiz masters. The questions pertained to their knowledge of the animal world.

Our kindergarteners have been learning about the thematic topic of ‘Animal World’ in the months of September and October. During the lessons, they were introduced to the fascinating world of farm and wild animals, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, birds, aquatic animals and endangered species. They were also made aware of the factors that lead to the extinction of certain species. The lesson on the importance of ‘Animal Species Conservation’ was based on the iCare pillar of the Global Montessori Programme. 

The concepts were reiterated during the virtual quiz. The interactive experience was a fun and enriching experience for the entire class as all the students enjoyed the virtual activity. The students who represented their campus as participants felt proud and build their confidence in facing the audience and public speaking
