Ms Priya Kapoor, an experienced IB PYP coordinator has joined GIIS SMART Campus as of April 2019, and will be overall responsible for successfully implementing the newly introduced Primary Years Programme framework in the school.

Ms Priya Kapoor has 14 years of experience in Education Management Industry. As part of her career, she has worked in IB schools in India and China and was responsible for ensuring that the IB Primary Years Programme framework is effectively implemented in these schools and students gain maximum learning benefits from this advanced curriculum. Her forte lies in amalgamating the best practices within the IB PYP framework to help each student attain their best potential.

Ms Priya has a Post Graduate Diploma in Pre-Primary Teacher’s Training and has attended various professional programmes like Assessments in PYP, Making the PYP happen, Role of Coordinator, and many more.

As part of her initial steps in implementing the IB PYP framework in GIIS, Ms Priya’s first focus was to create a grade-wise curriculum for IB PYP framework and monitoring that the curriculum is efficiently transpiring in the classrooms. She will also ensure that parents of IB PYP students receive weekly round-up emails with details on the unit of inquiry so that they can re-iterate the concepts at home. 

With a professional IB PYP coordinator at the helm, parents will soon experience wonderful developments in the learning journey of PYP students.
