Math Magic helped tiny tots memorize phone numbers, build tiny houses and count pizza toppings like an expert

When it is Math, the children are ready for the magic of learning numbers through easy tricks and tips.

The Pizza topping counting for the Nursery kids was tempting and also very interesting. The children had filled the toppings as per the number of pizza slices. The toppings were artificial bell pepper and olives. The kids learnt to identify the numbers and match the required quantity.

KG 1 did an activity on 'Creative Shapes'. They built various tiny models of house, bus and rocket using the colourful wooden blocks. This activity helped the kids develop their vocabularies, improve math skills and even taught them about gravity, balance, and geometry. They also learned how to describe colours, shapes, sizes and positions as they build various structures.

'I know my Phone number' was a memory enhancing activity during which children learnt their phone number by heart. This was a thoughtful activity with numbers as they were told that they need to memorize their mom's or dad’s phone number. The ultimate goal was to teach numbers through this memory exercise and give them a good sensory experience while being taught how to memorize the numbers quickly. The technique of tapping numbers was the key for the fun-filled and consistent practice sessions.
