Mr Venka Purushothaman, Deputy President and Provost, Lasalle College of the Arts, visited the GIIS SMART Campus on Jan 13, 2023, and encouraged the students with his words of wisdom. The award-winning art writer visited the campus as part of the school’s Leadership Lecture Series wherein he interacted with the secondary students during the panel discussion. 

The session allowed the students to connect with Mr Purushothaman and ask him questions about his experiences of working and interacting with various cultural and artistic leaders from around the world, and his idea on how the difference in cultures impact the art in different communities across the globe. 

The students had a great learning experience during the session and at the same time were thrilled to be able to connect with an eminent personality from the field of art. They were encouraged to be change-makers, problem solvers, and value creators. 

Through the Leadership Lecture Series, the school provides an excellent platform for the students to engage in interactive sessions with eminent personalities from all walks of life who have achieved numerous milestones in their respective fields. The words of encouragement shared by Mr Venka during the engaging session will serve as a source of guidance and motivation for the students as they continue on their educational journey to grow as strong global leaders of the future.
