GIIS SMART Campus to start IB Primary Years Programme from April

GIIS SMART Campus has received accreditation to offer Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) board as of March 2019, making it a candidate school* for the programme and setting it on a path to pursue authorisation as an IB World School.

GIIS will commence its PYP at the SMART Campus from April 2019, giving its students a chance to study the the international curriculum which is popular for its student-centred approach and inquiry-based learning. A team of PYP trained teachers and an experienced PYP coordinator is going to drive the curriculum in GIIS and ensure that students get the desired learning outcome.

This new addition to existing GIIS curricula will also mean its students have an opportunity to choose international curriculum right from Kindergarten till Grade 12.

Recognised worldwide as one of the most advanced international programmes for primary schools, IB PYP aims to develop students into independent learners by the time they complete Grade 5.

With the commencement of IB PYP, students of the SMART Campus will now get to study one of the most recognised primary years curriculum in a campus which is as futuristic as the curriculum itself. With over 90 digital classrooms and 42 skill-based studios, is already on the front foot to offer skill-based learning that prepares students for the 21st century.
