GIIS SMART Campus students express their uniqueness on International Dot Day

The kindergarten students of GIIS SMART Campus celebrated the International Dot Day on September 15th.

The International Dot Day is a worldwide recognised day of celebrating one’s creative potential, boosting one’s self confidence and exploring ways of self expression. The students were taught the significance of this celebration and the importance of self-confidence and self expression, through the narration of the story “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds. “The Dot” narrates the story of a little girl who was incapable of drawing anything. Her art teacher then tells her to “make a mark” and see where it takes her.

The students were explained the moral behind the story that, even a dot made by them counts at the end of the day, encouraging and motivating the students to believe in themselves and explore their creativity and uniqueness.
