GIIS SMART Campus has dedicated the end of each month to raising awareness about cyber security and fostering good online practices. In today’s technologically advanced world, it is essential that students understand the pros and cons of the Internet and use its amenities wisely.
Through a range of activities, events and workshops, the students will gain an in-depth understanding of the Internet world, shaping them into responsible digital citizens. This initiative was implemented as part of the Kaizen program.
The initiative is spearheaded by Ms Sangitaa Singh, who is part of the GIIS Annual Leadership Summit’s project on Cyber Security as well as the Digital Learning Head of the Primary cohort. She has devised various modules on digital wellbeing for the Primary cohort and is now implementing them throughout the school, and across all campuses.
Aligning with the 9 GEMS pedagogy that the schools follow, the digital wellbeing initiative provides the students with a deeper knowledge about the tools they have around them, ensuring their optimal and safe usage.
