GIIS SMART Campus Interact Club donates toys to underprivileged kids

The students of the GIIS SMART Campus Interact Club came together to conduct a toy donation drive from 30th September to 1st October.

All toys received through the donation drive were gifted to underprivileged children in the Philippines. This initiative was in partnership with Bangcol Elementary School in the Zambales province, a school offering a wonderful learning experience for children in kindergarten all the way up to grade 6.

The donation drive itself received immense support and positive responses, with the club having collected a whopping 179 toys and 6 board games at the end of the drive. Students also left short written messages for those in the Philippines.

At GIIS, every student receives opportunities to give back to the community and world they live, inculcating in them values of a good future global citizen. Through this toy donation drive, the students of the Interact club got the chance to help out those children in the Philippines, successfully fulfilling the club’s motto ‘Service above Self’.
