Diwali, the Festival of Lights! There are few better occasions to celebrate with friends and loved ones. As families prepared lights and feasts, lower primary students at GIIS turned the Smart Campus into a wondrous sea of colours.

Whether PYP or CBSE, Kindergarten or Grade 5, students across ages and cohorts joined as one to spread the Diwali cheer. They adorned classrooms with well-wishes and craft decorations. They livened up floors with rangoli – a traditional art form using coloured rice, sand, or petals. They sang and danced in their finest clothes. Everywhere one turned were hallways full of laughter.

Amidst the pandemic, the celebrations were a salve for both spirit and mind.

It truly was a wonderful day for all!
