Ekam Singh, IBDP Year 1A student of SMART Campus has carved a niche for himself by winning bronze at the JuniorSkills 2021, a national skill championship held on Feb 28, 2022. Ekam has won the award by participating in the IT Software Solutions for the Business category in the event hosted by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) of India in partnership with CBSE. 

In this one of its kind skill championship, participants got an excellent opportunity to explore and exhibit their passion and expertise in 10 different skill-based categories, like Graphic Design, Innovative Business Ideas, Painting & Decorating, Fashion Technology, Digital Photography, Solar Energy, etc. There were 3 preliminary rounds organised before the finale of the competition. In each round, the contestants were given a prompt/guidelines to build an android application, within 3-4 hours. Towards the finale, the contestants were challenged with tasks like writing database SQL queries. The felicitation ceremony was held in April where several esteemed dignitaries like Shri Rajesh Aggarwal (Secretary of NSDC) and Dr. Vineet Joshi (Chairman of CBSE) graced the occasion.
