A new month begins with new hope, new aspirations and new challenges.

 

This was exactly what the month of July had to offer. The students enjoyed a fantastic month of July, which began with the CBSE primary cohort celebrating Literacy Week. Geronimo Stiltons, Batmans and Robins, Sophia the Princesses, and Mermaids were among the students who came dressed as their favourite book characters. The students also showcased their talents through dialogues, dances and much more.

The amazing things was the students participated enthusiatically in all the activities, while adhering to the safety measures such as social distancing and masking up.  

Science Week was also observed by the IB-PYP cohort. Various activities were organized with the goal of fostering the enthusiasm for science. Students created a scientific nook in their classroom and conducted experiments to better comprehend subjects. Ms. Lakshmi Narayanan, Senior Editor / Deputy Director (Physics) at World Scientific Publishing Co, led a guest speaker session during which the students debated several subjects related to the ethical uses of science. Both kids and teachers found it to be a rewarding experience.

Singapore is grappling with a slew of new Covid-19 cases this month. It is imperative that each of us follow our role diligently. As educators, we have a responsibility to provide our students with a safe environment. As residents, we have a responsibility to society as a whole. Therefore, remember to mask up and believe in the phrase “This too shall pass!”
