Students celebrated many facets of Gandhi Ji’ s life on his 151st birth anniversary

Mahatma Gandhi is a symbol of peace and truth. Gandhian thoughts, principles, values, and ideals encourage our students to always be with the truth and follow a non – violent path towards in their life.

In order to mark the celebrations of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the school decided to conduct various activities on 1st October 2020 on account of Gandhi Jayanti. A plethora of activities was planned for each class from grades 9-11.

QUIZ – A quiz was conducted in class 9 under the guidance of Ms. Vaishali. The quiz was based on some of the very interesting topics such as Life of Gandhi, The role of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle of India, and the Personal life of Gandhiji. Students took an active part in the quiz and learned many new facts about our very own Bapu. 

SPEECH- Class 10 A took part in Speech delivery on the topics- ‘What Gandhi means in the 21st Century’, ‘International Day of Non-Violence – 2nd October’, and ‘It just takes one man to make all the difference.’ The entire class took part in the event with a lot of zeal as students delivered their beautiful thoughts about Mahatma Gandhi in the form of speech. 

POSTER MAKING- Class 10 B took part in poster making on the topics Gandhian Values - Footprints of Gandhi, Make in India, and Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Children participated in this activity whole heartedly and designed beautiful and vibrant posters.

ESSAY WRITING- Class 11 A, B, C took part in an essay writing competition on the topics  “An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind.”, “There is a sufficiency in the world for man’s need but not for man’s greed”, Peace and Truth are the finest weapons. Children came up with beautiful essays and projected their thoughts well. 

It was a great day with lots of learning. Children understood the importance of Gandhian values and how even today they’re so relevant in the world. They understood various aspects of his life and his non-violent ways of human success and development.
