Ms. Sonia Singh, a primary teacher at GIIS Noida, is a life-long learner who constantly tries her best to include innovative practices that bring astounding creativity to her classroom. Her innovative teaching style galvanizes her students and inspires them to pursue knowledge fearlessly, collaboratively, and joyfully. She loves to integrate her subject - Social Studies with other subjects to make the process of learning trans-disciplinary for her students.

Ms. Singh is known for her punctuality and meeting deadlines, for she believes in a systematic way of teaching and delivery. She is one among the parents’ most favourite educators at GIIS Noida, who has always been appreciated for responding to their queries instantaneously and offering workable solutions to problems they face. Without fail, since the past five years. 

That’s just not it. She has a myriad of certifications and awards to her credit:

• She has been awarded with the GIIS STAR AWARD 2019-20 for her outstanding performance and contribution to the organization.
• International School Award: She was also recognized by the British Council for supporting the integration of international learning in the curriculum.
• She secured the second position in the “Functional Classroom competition” held in Aug 2018 at GIIS.
• Best Primary Teacher: For her role at GIIS, she has also been recognized as the Best Primary Teacher for the academic year 2018-19.
• Grade Mentor for 3 Years: As a team leader she is known for creating a collaborating learning environment where teachers learn from and inspire one another.
• Course Developer: She has developed many courses on our Learning Management System (LMS) for professional training and development of teachers.
• Awarded with “Employee of the month” (The Best Teacher – Primary) in October 2018.

When asked about her vision as a teacher, Ms. Sonia shared, “ I wish to support and guide children to become confident, capable individuals, and also develop an inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students learn to appreciate and respect the diversity in their class.”

Her mission as a teacher is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through their intercultural understanding and respect. GIIS truly acknowledges her mission and is fortunate and very proud to have such incredible teaching staff, who are thinking beyond the four walls of the classroom in an attempt to give their best in nurturing the students into fine and responsible citizens.
