Noida, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Chinchwad teams to represent GIIS India in the final round of the Quality Circle Presentation at RWCC Singapore - 2018

INDIA, 20 NOVEMBER, 2018 - It’s GIIS Singapore calling for GIIS students from India.

The stage is set and students from GIIS India campuses are all ready to give their best shot at the finale of Real World Challenges Convention 2018 happening on 5th December, 2018 in the GIIS Smart Campus, Punggol. Preliminary round of the Quality Circle Presentation competition has been conducted and the list of final participants is out. Our students will be representing Team India and will be competing with students from GIIS Punggol Smart campus.

Recently the final teams for the Quality Circle Presentation have been announced and students from GIIS Noida, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Chinchwad will be representing Team India on the global stage of talent and creativity. Each team has chosen a topic they could relate to and is a burgeoning concern within their community, city or state and intend to present their take on the problem along with possible measures of solving it.

GIIS Bangalore aka Team Felix presented their bit, after a lot of brainstorming and discussion, on the problem statement - Happiness, are we there yet? Students from GIIS Noida i.e. Team Robinhood Army presented their take on tackling the food and water wastage problem within the school campus. "Be a part of Solution, Not a part of the pollution" was an initiative taken up by the students of GIIS Ahmedabad as a pilot project in which they have discussed solutions to the growing pollution problem. Lastly, the Wasteland Warriors i.e. GIIS Chinchwad students worked towards minimizing the hazardous effects of wastes that end up disposed in our landfills and oceans.

Each campus was involved in rigorous analyses of the problem and has used age appropriate tools to collate and bifurcate the data available. The targeted group was middle school and secondary school students for two different categories. Each team made rounds of discussions to understand the problem and analyse the results that can be assembled in the existing system to modify, review and undertake comprehensive measures to find effective solutions to the chosen problems.

Here’s wishing our students all the best for their final round that will be happening in the all new GIIS SMART campus, Punggol in Singapore. We hope this year too our students get home an array of awards and most importantly an experience that enriches their life and overall skills on the whole.
