New Year, New Beginnings: A Reflection of Achievements and Upcoming Celebrations at GIIS Noida

Dear Parents,

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

As we step into 2025, we’re reminded that the New Year is like a blank canvas, full of possibilities. It's an opportunity to set new goals, pursue dreams, and create something meaningful. I hope this year brings you and your family much happiness and success.

After a long and restful winter break, our students returned with renewed energy and enthusiasm. To mark the beginning of the year, the grade 6 students of GIIS Noida came together to present a heartwarming assembly, setting a vibrant tone for 2025. Their performance reflected the spirit of the New Year, with beautiful reflections on January's significance and the special moments it brought along.

Our Pre-Primary stars celebrated Republic Day with joy and enthusiasm! They crafted tricolour hand bands, shared tricolour-themed treats, and enjoyed a festive atmosphere with beautiful decorations. It was heartwarming to see them embrace the spirit of the nation with such innocence and excitement.

In addition to these celebrations, GIIS Noida had the privilege of participating in a panel discussion hosted by the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) and Dabur at the TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi. Ms. Gurbani Singh and Ms. Harshita Arvind represented the school and received a Certificate of Distinct Contribution for our efforts in the 10 Kg Plastic Campaign. Since August 2023, we’ve collected and recycled 421 kilograms of plastic waste, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.

The event celebrated the recycling of 2 lakh kilograms of plastic, emphasizing the power of community action for a positive environmental impact. We are proud to be part of this movement and remain dedicated to promoting eco-friendly solutions and caring for our planet.

Our students continue to excel in sports! Ganak AgarwalNamit ShashtriGarvit Jain, and Kushagra Aggarwal showcased strategic brilliance at the Chess Conquerors Cup 2025, representing GIIS Noida with exceptional skill amidst fierce competition. Their performance, supported by Amateur Sports Management and DLF Mall of India, was truly impressive.

On the rink, Naysha Bhatnagar clinched a medal at the 62nd National Roller Skating Championship 2024 in Mysore, setting a new benchmark with her dedication and grace. We look forward to her future international success!

We are also incredibly proud to announce that Mr. Atul Temurnikar, Chairman and Co-founder of Global Schools Foundation, has been awarded the PravasiBharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) 2025 by the President of India! This prestigious recognition celebrates his outstanding contributions to education, particularly in establishing CBSE-affiliated schools across Southeast and East Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan. His efforts have positively impacted thousands of students and helped create a global network of schools dedicated to academic excellence.

Lastly, as we gear up for our much-awaited Annual Day Celebrations, our students and teachers are working tirelessly to bring you an unforgettable performance. The preparations are in full swing, with every student putting in their best efforts to showcase their talents and creativity. This event promises to be a beautiful blend of hard work, dedication, and the vibrant spirit of our school community. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with you all!

Warm Regards,

Ganesh Sharma
