Moving ahead to fulfill the dreams and conquer the world

Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all - Aristotle

Dear Parents,

Education during the golden years of schooling is not about exams, lessons, and home works but about growing and excelling in all spheres of life and being able to keep up with the ever-evolving world. The growth today is much bigger than what it used to be in the yesteryears; it is more competitive and knowledge-oriented and one must constantly keep up with the advancements to stay fit and relevant at all times.

We at GIIS, Noida keep engaging our students in activities (co-curricular and extracurricular) that shape them up in individuals with moral values, are good at heart,  meticulous and smart in planning and action, and have the nerve of taking up challenges in their stride and emerge as winner always.

Keeping the essence in mind, each month of the academic year is planned focussing on the complete development of a child at our campus. Like every month, the month of February was power-packed with lots of activities that enhanced and brought forth the intellectual, creative, and functional skills of the students.

To begin with, we happily welcomed students from grades 6-12 (who have opted for offline classes) back to school by following the guidelines given by the government. We put in place several protocols to ensure that our students are safe and sound at school.

We successfully organized virtual annual days for each segment i.e. from PP to grade 12. Each child got an opportunity to participate and contribute to the success of the programs. It was astounding to see all the students participating with such grace and confidence. What’s commendable was the fact that children learnt everything online, as the teachers taught them through the online video classes. On the final day, what we all witnessed was magical and inexplicable, and the credit for the success goes entirely to my teachers and parents who worked day and night in perfecting the students for the day.

On the achievements front, the students have yet again proved their mettle by bagging several positions in LEAPS ( Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Art, Personality Development, and STEAM) tournament which was organized virtually by GIIS, Hadapsar. Another feather in the cap has been added by our little enthusiast Anusha Agarwal who bagged 1st International Rank in the LogIQids Mental Aptitude Olympiad- First Stage and International Rank 2 (Offline) in the Logical Reasoning Olympiad 2019. Lastly, Bishal Dev, the skating champ of the school yet again made us proud by qualifying for the 6th UP State Roller Skating Sports Championship, 2021 from Ghaziabad District. He qualified with 3 gold medals ( 1000 mtrs, 500 mtrs, 200 mtrs races).

Besides the achievements, green medicine day, i-Care activities to educate students with environmental issues, thinking Thursday activities for the tiny tots, and community outreach programs were conducted to sensitize students with their roles and responsibilities towards society. Lastly, a Colloquium for grade 10 & 12 students was organized by the grade 11 students to help them with countless topics like preparation for board exams, handling peer pressure, parental pressure or competitive pressure, etc.  This session was taken by the star performer of the school, Nehal Kaul who was also the topper of grade 12 (batch 2019–20).

As the month has ended, and we march forth towards the next, I would like to wish all my students the best of luck for the upcoming examinations. We at GIIS, have made sure that our students are well prepared by conducting revision classes, mock examinations, extra classes for the students who need a little more assistance, etc. All this and a lot more have been implemented to make sure that our students are ready to take the finals with complete preparation and confidence.

Warm Regards,

Ganesh Sharma
