Pre-Primary wing of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Noida conducted some interesting, fun and meaningful activities for the nursery and KG students in August 2018. Here's the glimpse of activities that were held in form of special assemblies, week celebrations, classroom activities, etc.:
- Incredible India
August is the month of patriotism and independence, and educating students on the same is extremely important. To sensitize students with different cultures of India and make them familiar with its diversity, a special assembly was conducted for the kids on the theme "Incredible India". Different states along with their cultural dance forms were depicted on stage as the tiny feet danced and grooved to the respective folk tunes.
- Transport Week
To enhance listening and imaginative skills among children, and to enrich their vocabulary, a week full of activities were conducted to educated students about modes of transport available. Activities like circle time rhymes, practical transportation exercises, special assembly on the importance of transportation and road safety was conducted, and a mini display of the modes of transportation was also put up by the teachers for the students to experience the theme practically.
- Community Helpers
A special assembly was conducted to sensitize students about the community helpers and the role they play in our lives. Students were introduced to this concept in a fun manner as students of KG-D gave handmade cards to the community helpers (maids, gardeners, guards, electrician, nurse, etc.) of school. The whole idea behind introducing this concept was to make students more kind and thankful towards them and be aware about the help they provide to us on daily basis.
