Owing to their illustrious motives, The Commerce Teachers Foundation organized a workshop in which 53 teachers from the commerce background participated from 53 institutions of the Delhi NCR region. Ms. Manu Taunk - (teacher of accounts and business studies at GIIS Noida) represented our school at this unique event.

The workshop gave valuable and vital guidance by providing practical examples. The 4-hour workshop revolved around adopting innovative teaching and learning methodologies for commerce students. The instruction material presented was at par with the current times to create assessments that would guide students towards success. 

The session involved a lot of activities, quiz and trivia sessions on business studies, innovative ways to explain and answer students’ questions, and creating sample examination papers. The emphasis was laid on competency-based education and evaluation techniques. In depth discussion took place on lesson plans and how they should clearly specify the objectives; methodologies, aids, and learning styles to enable all students to learn successfully.

The workshop augmented the understanding of mindfulness and gave valuable apprehension of how it can be used & taught to develop students’ self-awareness/self-management skills.

Sharing her experience Ms. Manu said, “I am happy to be a part of the foundation whereby students are facilitated with learning and success through creating specialized curriculum and assessments.” 

CTF or the Commerce Teachers Foundation is an illustrious organization established with an objective of providing professional excellence to the commerce teachers’ fraternity. The organization keeps organizing talent search exams, competitions etc., grants scholarships and stipends to brilliant and deserving students, and also imparts free study materials /books/education to the poor/helpless and needy students.
