Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida is proud to share that the school principal – Mr. Ganesh Sharma was honoured and invited to grace the 16th edition of the National Youth Parliament Competition as Honorary Academician at the Amity Law School, Noida. The event was conducted under the aegis of Ministry of Parliamentary affairs and saw participation from the several students from the Amity Law School.

Mr. Sharma was invited to judge the event that discussed various contemporary issues faced by the world. The themes on which the students delivered their take were simple yet different and spoke a lot about the actions that are required to fix the issues concerning the world. Members from the parliament– Mr. Lal Bihari Tiwari (Ex Member of Parliament) and Mr. Mahavir Singh Rana (Ex. MLA Behat Saharanpur Constituency) were also present to be a part this unique event that witnessed the youth of the country talk about welfare, social justice and social reforms, economic development, communal harmony, etc.

In his address to the gathering, our esteemed principal shared his happiness on seeing the youth of today displaying qualities of leadership while presenting their case across the audience. Successful working of a system greatly depends on how efficiently it is being managed and how well an individual leader is making the decisions required in the benefit of the country/institution. He further advised the young leaders of tomorrow to practice the following three things to be successful in life i.e. skill of learning, re-learning and unlearning.

The objective of the competition was to make students understand the importance of parliamentary affairs and strengthen the roots of democracy, instil a sense of patriotism,  practices of discipline & political awareness among the youth population of India.
