GIIS Noida observes Computer Literacy day to encourage digital literacy among the young minds

The students of GIIS Primary wing celebrated World Computer Literacy Day to illustrate the importance of awareness of computers and technology in our daily lives.

The activity was conducted in zero period for students of grade 1-5 which helped them develop their critical thinking and presentational skills. Students of Grade 1 and 2 participated in an interesting visual project where they joined the dots of Input and Output Processing devices and learned to define and identify the devices, thereby enhancing their technological awareness.

Students of Grade 3 presented their engaging activity in which they created a prop of a social networking app and displayed it to their fellow learners by describing it detail. Students of Grade 4-5 on the other hand made a presentation on a digital application made in India and rendered it in detail to their classmates.

The activity, conducted in teams of 2, strengthened team coordination between students as they presented apps like PayTM, Youtube, Spotify, etc. and also improved their computer literacy skills. The activity resulted in a novel experience for the primary students by demonstrating their technology acumen with the guidance of their parents and teachers.
