Global Indian International School, Noida, in its quest to unlock and inculcate leadership qualities among its students, had organised its first virtual Investiture Ceremony for the 2021-22 academic session.

The school’s motto is to create leaders of tomorrow. For us, Investiture Ceremony was not only about administering titles, but also conferring responsibilities to the students, so that they take charge of the school and bring it to new heights with their leadership and decision-making qualities, dedication, and teamwork.

It was an event to felicitate the new office-bearers for the academic year 2021-22. This event signifies the belief that the school consigns in the newly invested school cabinet. In this unique virtual event, the elected young leaders of the campus were formally bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with their commitment, confidence, and competence.

The process of forming the official Student Council had been taken through various steps. It started with filing of the nomination form by the deserving candidates. After this, we had a fair shortlisting of the candidates by the selection committee. In context to this, our school had organised a virtual session on ‘Know your leaders”, where the students standing for various titles also had a live Q/A session. Council election was conducted on the online platform for the students of grade 6 to 12. It is a solemn occasion where the young students are being prepared to discharge the functions entrusted upon them by the school.

The felicitation ceremony began with the Saraswati Vandana, so as to seek the blessings of Goddess of Knowledge for our newly elected school cabinet. Our Principal Sir addressed the gathering with his motivational words. He also congratulated the school cabinet and encouraged them to put in honest efforts for every endeavour and become an inspiration for others.

It was followed by a rhythmic fusion presented by some of our talented students. Ms. Vaishali Singh, GIIS Noida’s Council Mistress took the proceeding further by announcing the names of the newly elected school cabinet. The Oath taking Ceremony was administered by our Principal Sir, Mr. Ganesh Sharma, wherein our office-bearers took the oath to discharge their responsibilities with full dedication and sincerity.

The Head Girl, Sameeksha Srivastava, and Head Boy, Divyam Tiwari shared their experiences and gratitude to the Principal Sir and teachers in their speech. As the event progressed, the school choir presented a motivational song to inspire our newly elected school leaders. Last but not the least, GIIS Noida’s Cultural Captain - Adwitya Singh proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the entire family of GIIS, Noida and thanked them for giving her and all the council members this golden opportunity of making a difference with their skills and decisions.
