GIIS Noida is proud to introduce new-age facilities and infrastructure at the campus.

Primary school is a child’s first step towards formal education. The pedagogies used provide students with fundamental skills of reading, writing, speaking a language along with basic skills that build a strong foundation and help them in moving ahead in their educational curve. Learning, coupled with a positive atmosphere and the right infrastructural facilities aid in the holistic growth of the child, as they get to interact and utilize the best of resources available within a campus. Understanding that same need, we at GIIS Noida are happy to share with you all that we are undergoing a makeover and are all set to welcome the students back to campus very soon with a variety of new spaces to explore, collaborate and widen their horizons.

The new revamped GIIS Noida campus will be offering a wide range of facilities to the students:

Besides these, other common facilities like the Multipurpose Hall, New Skating Rink, Amphitheatre, Medical Room, Playground for outdoor sports, MGCUV Centre, and Day Care center are also undergoing a modification and will be available and accessible to students across segments.

Not just this, we have new and improved upcoming pedagogies too for our Primary students:

ELEMENTARY LEVEL CODING

Starting this year, the students from grade 1-5 will be introduced to basic levels of coding that enables them to learn and have fun while using the concepts. Coding, if introduced in the early years of education can develop a lifelong passion for the subject, and doubles as a fun hobby for young minds to explore and learn something new. You will observe that from playing games, they will begin to create new games of their own. The subject will be taught using content that is curated to ensure it is both educational and entertaining for our students to grow and benefit from.

LANGUAGE LAB

The all-new Language lab will enable the students to practice the lessons learned in a fun, entertaining, and interactive way while enhancing and improving the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It will also allow students to reinforce the concepts learned in class by putting them into practice through interactive activities.

READING MONTH PROGRAM

Reading is one of the most useful habits that take students a long way. It not only expands their mind-set but also helps in improving cognitive skill development. It is a vital tool used by educators to promote and develop the required literacy skills. Proficiency in reading impacts their ability to excel in test-taking, classwork, and class preparation. By introducing the Reading Month Program, our students will get an opportunity to enhance their language skills and improve their spoken, written, listening, and reading skills altogether. It will be a wonderful outlet for the kids, especially those who are going through some tough life situations. Reading Month program will be an opportunity for the kids to boost the love of reading while improving literacy skills. Our teachers have planned some fun ways to get students reading because it pays off exponentially when it comes to their academics.

AUGMENTED LEARNING

A structured yet flexible curriculum helps students learn better. With varied and relatable content, relevant feedback, and innovative learning inputs, we aim to help improve a student’s cognitive growth as well as building character. Under this initiative, GIIS in collaboration with strategic partners, will be clearly defining learning objectives and outcomes to build basic skills and higher level thinking thereby boosting lifelong learning. It will be a repository of data and techniques that will encourage children to learn and stay engaged. These unique pedagogies will help address specific academic needs and improve teaching and learning across grades. The lesson plans will be mapped with GIIS core values and 9GEMS attributes for holistic development. The content is set to be delivered through informative videos, hands-on activities, differentiated worksheets, along with games and videos, which will ensure to keep students involved and interested while also giving them a deeper understanding of the subject. This method of teaching and learning is not only poised to help a child learn better, but will also instil in them a love for learning.
