Children’s day celebrations were a big affair at GIIS Noida as each child from all three segments enjoyed their day to the fullest.

The pre-primary wing joined the virtual celebrations that were all about making the children feel extra special and loved. The celebrations began by welcoming the students by the respective class teachers followed by a special prayer and a power-point presentation to sensitize the tiny tots with the importance and history of the day.  Various activities like eye mask making, fun virtual movie time with delicious snacks, virtual fun game on Magic land, etc. were conducted with a lot of fun and frolic for the kids.

To make the day memorable for our little stars, virtual gifts like chocolates, stars, soft toys, etc. were given to the students by their respective class teachers. To end the celebrations on an exciting note, each child danced their heart out in the virtual dance party on a medley of their favourite songs that played one after the another. Children jumped with joy and happiness as they got an opportunity to have fun with their friends and fellow classmates after a long time.

For students of grades 1-5, the special celebrations witnessed the primary educators stepping in the shoes of their dear students for a day to feel and narrate the other side of the story in the most hilarious manner. The teachers put themselves in the shoes of our children and led the entire celebration, from prayer to a gratitude walk in which they gave an inspirational message to the students. A variety of acts were put up by them to demonstrate their love and affection for their lovely students.

Teachers performed on a medley of songs and a group dance as well. They also enacted a play illustrating the adjustment in the lives of teachers and students that followed the abrupt announcement of lockdown and required fast adaptation to online lessons and evaluations. When students saw their lecturers on stage, they applauded their teachers and burst out laughing at their jokes. The auditorium was filled with delight and excitement, and it was a treat for the students to see their teachers doing what they do on a regular basis.

The day came to an end with chocolates being distributed to the students and pleasant memories staying in everyone's minds.

For grade 6-12 students, the celebrations were conducted on both online and offline modes. To celebrate this occasion, a special assembly for our students was organized by our teachers. The assembly commenced with a welcome speech, wherein the students were told about the importance of the day and the reason for celebrating it. It was followed by the address of our Principal Sir, Mr. Ganesh Sharma. He expressed his profound happiness in seeing the students back to school after the pandemic. It was really amazing to see our teachers stepping into the shoes of our students and conducting the entire assembly. A skit depicting the way the online classes are attended by our students was well presented by the segment teachers. Students applauded their teachers as they saw their power-packed performances in the form of acting, singing, and dancing.

A melodious song was sung by Punit Sir to express his affection for his dear students left everyone mesmerised which was then followed by a few exciting games that were enjoyed by the students present in the school. The most exhilarating part of the day was the basketball match played by the members of the four houses. The whole atmosphere buzzed with the excitement and joy of our students. The day ended with the distribution of chocolates to our students.
