Budding photographers and Journalism Club members of the school learn nuances of the art from an acclaimed wildlife and fashion photographer

NOIDA, 14 OCTOBER, 2018  -  Life and photography are so similar in nature; they both need light and clarity in the vision to achieve desirable results. The students from the journalism club of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida got an exceptional opportunity of learning about life and the art of photography from the famous celebrity photographer - Mr Akash Das, who shared his real-life experiences to narrate the beauty of the profession and how it taught him to live freely and fearlessly.

The session began with welcoming of the ace photographer with a planter by the school principal. He then showcased an extensive array of pictures shot by himself. Each picture he showcased had a story behind it. Students found the whole idea of being among people and in the nature to get that perfect shot quite dreamy and amusing. While addressing our budding photographers, he quotes – “capturing a picture is not a mechanical task. It takes a whole lot of planning, resources and patience to capture the moment and transform it into a lifelong piece of art or memory.”

He emphasized on the fact that photography is a career for those who have the real passion for it. If one has the vision and desire to achieve something extra ordinary in life, photography can give those people and their creativity a good push. But one always needs to follow one’s dream religiously rather than just working to make money; it will follow eventually.

This session helped our students in understanding the technicalities of the profession and what all goes behind the scenes to make a picture look perfect in scene, ambience and feel.

About Mr. Akash Das: He is an ace photographer and is known as a path breaking personality in the field of Indian Advertising Industry and Wildlife world. He has been awarded with the honour of the 10 most influential people in the photography industry. Also, his work on Asian people has been engraved in the Limca Book of World Records as first of its kind. Lastly, he has been a pioneer in the art of visual communication and wildlife photography.
