Dear Parents,

I am happy to share that the month of August was an attempt to normalize physical classes at the campus as we began with a phased reopening of the school. The students from the senior classes i.e. grades 9-12 voluntarily joined back and resumed their classes while online sessions continued in parallel to support students opting for virtual learning. Following the opening of school for senior students, we further resumed classes for students of both primary and secondary segments on preference basis. 

With all safety and sanitization protocols in place, the physical classes at GIIS Noida are running on regular basis with fifty percent physical strength in each section. I hope this number gets better with time as we come out of the fear of being affected by the Coronavirus. Also, I would request all my parents to get their double dose of vaccination and encourage their wards to follow proper ways of self- sanitization and social distancing both at home and school. 

Activities at GIIS Noida have always been at the forefront because hands-on learning makes our students stand apart from the crowd as they learn by getting involved in the activities that are conducted each time. To begin with, we celebrated a lot of special days like Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, etc. to acquaint our students with the rich cultural history and traditions that form the very core of our personalities. These values make us who we are and definitely help us in leaving our mark wherever we go. 

Maths magic activities, Thinking Thursdays, poem and dance competitions, virtual tours, etc. kept our little ones engaged and on their toes as they learned and explored the world through these activities. One of the major highlights of the month was GIIS Noida hosting a virtual Inter-School Yoga competition where we got more than 300 entries from over 20 well-known schools of Delhi/NCR. It was one of a kind event that witnessed a lot of anticipation from the students across schools and even our own students. We even invited a professional Yoga instructor to judge the entries received to come out with fair and unbiased results. 

Women empowerment is one of the causes we deeply feel for and wish to make a difference in any way possible. In our attempts to spread the awareness, teachers, students and our parents took an oath to protect the interests of a girl child and to encourage, support, and empower them in all aspects.

Not to forget the spectacular CBSE Results we got for grade 10 and grade 12 examinations. These results are the testimony of the hard work that has been put in by the teachers, students, parents and the management. Each one has performed to the best of their capabilities, setting a benchmark for future batches to achieve and surpass the laid milestones. 

Every campus of GIIS fosters practices that make our students inherit defining qualities of creativity, vision, passion, dedication, and adaptability to lead them towards a life that is meaningful and whole in all respects.
